Legion Exercise Number 1 and 4

Both of these are from Dage in /underworld (also 8-Bit Battleon Town and Dage's House) and need Undead Champion (Armor) in your inventory. The sword is a random reward, so you will be doing these a few times. You get 25 Legion Tokens per turn in, so it is not a complete waste.

Yami no Ronin Katana

The one that takes the longest, it is a chain from Dage in /darkally. You need to have completed ”Defeat the Underfiend” first, which is the end of the Dark Ally quests (all pretty easy kill quests).

Then from ”The Path to Power” chain, do these in order:

• ”The Path to Power”
  • Sapphire Orb 13x
    • Beat up Ultra Aeacus in /judgement and Legion Lich Lord in /frozenlair
  • Legion Token 17500x
  • Meditation
    • Turn in a Bone Sigil from /legionarena if you own an old BladeMaster/SwordMaster class
  • Aeacus Empowered 50x
• ”Embracing Darkness”
  • Dark Wisp 444x
• ”Forge Your Steel, Steel Your Resolve”
  • Flame-Forged Metal 13x
  • Obsidian Rock 108x
  • Eternity Flame
  • Weapon Imprint 15x
  • Shadow Katana Blueprint
• ”The Edge of an Era”
  • Perfect Orochi Scales 888x
    • From Orochi in /shadowfortress or /shogunwar
  • Shadow Katana Blade
  • Oni Skull Charm
    • From Mitsu Bishi
  • Darkened Essence 600x
    • From the warriors in /shadowrealmpast

The wiki also lists a ”Yami no Ronin (Shortcut)” version of this chain, so have a look at Dage's Quests before you start grinding Orochi scales.

Soul Sand and Soul Essence

Soul Essence is needed 10x for the Dual Legion Soul Devourers

• Requires Legion Bonfire quest
• Grrberus' Flame x1
  • Dropped by Grrrberus
• Soul Sand 3x

So that is 10 Flames and 30 Soul Sand. Add the 2 Soul Sand for the Legion Soul Devourer (it is also 200k Gold) and you need 32 Soul Sand in total.

For Soul Sand, get Legion Promotion and do the dailies from Dage in /underworld. They also give Legion Tokens so you are farming two things at once:

• God of the Depths gives 250 Legion Tokens and 1 Soul Sand
• Dage the Dark Lord in /ultradage gives 250 Legion Tokens and 2 Soul Sand
• Ultra Aeacus, Legion Lich Lord, The Beast and Devastator Deimos give 100 to 150 Legion Tokens each

Solidified Soul and Obsidian Rock

Do ”Obsidian Mining” and ”Soul Forgery” from Dage in /underworld, you get 1, 3 or 5 per turn in. Or just buy the Solidified Souls from the SoulForge for 2 Legion Tokens and 66 Gold each (666 Tokens and about 22k Gold for 333).

Total materials, not including the prerequisite chain or the Legion Exercise turn ins:

• Legion Token 30666x
  • 25000 for the quest, 5000 for ”Undying Fealty” and 666 if you merge Solidified Souls
  • Add 17500 for ”The Path to Power”
• Dage the Evil Insignia 30x
• Dage's Favor 1500x
• Obsidian Rock 333x
  • 441x with the Yami no Ronin Katana chain
• Solidified Soul 333x
• Legion Combat Trophy 300x
• Soul Essence 10x
• Soul Sand 32x
• 200k Gold for the Legion Soul Devourer

Should have the funny sword after this. Expect to be doing Legion dailies for a good while.
